The yesterday's king of Odia Singer Sikander Alam, was  the rage of our college times. His daughter Nazia Alam is equally a genius singer.  Had an opportunity to listen her at  Rabindra Mandap, Bhubaneshwar with an equally genius Sankrit Pundit and lyricist with passion for Odishi dance Pt. Nityananda Mishra .... had a great evening, a memorable evening during my stay in Odisha.  Nazia is a hope for classical status of Odishi music !

today had divine darshan. A belief system and the simple minimalist monks choose to remain away of limelight and the modern lifestyle . The congregation of simple folks adds to the beauty of the belief. Though at the periphery of the capital of Odisha, still very few seems to be aware of these beautiful rituals and celebrations at Andharua. Fire the signature of purity in the midst of chanting of vedic hymns eulogising the sunybrahma radiates the divinity ! Alekha Niranjan !!!!
