I wish to take the discussion to little higher at University level. Sir CV Raman left ICS to teach physics at Calcutta University. Now how many will leave IAS/IPS to be an associate prof in an University even though the scale of pay is same! In many interviews successful civil service candiadates decalres in CSR magazine that civil service is the best way to serve the nation ! What a hypocracy we maintain and keep on listening the same by payment ! in Finland students opt for teaching job in preference to civil service.
I belong to a family of teachers. Till date , when I visit my village, senior/old persons refer me as ବିକଳ ମାଷ୍ଟ୍ରେଂକ ନାତିଟୋକା .... Money and power may earn u respect but the respect from this profession is different. Finally, persons who teach these tiny tots, should be morally strong rather than looking for money as ବାଂକବିହାରୀ ବାବୁ is looking for.
