MoKatha on 4th Sept. '19

Bhakti (Devotion) needs to give Shakti (power) to make full of life as India saw in its Suvarna Yuga (Golden Period) in the past. So the column 'Bhakti Shakti' for your review ...

The power in devotion "Bhakti Shakti" is in MoKatha today on Nirvay Odia newspaper 4th Sept. '19. The column starts with the devotion monks and saints
aspire for. The aspiration to know and to be with the creator the Absolute
drives them to different types of Bhakti viz. Prema Bhakti, Gyana Bhakti - to
follow path of love, path of knowledge. While some sages follow Sunyabad
(Formless God with a kind of nihilism) the ordinary takes God in different forms
for different purposes, thus adding Bhakti to worldly returns. Some saw
Bhakti with parents and teachers and elders. Purans have may examples on it.
Contemporary neo-gurus being rated on social media draw Bhakti from their
followers. Finally, the devotion has reached at persons from the Absolute God.
What you call it 'degeneration' or 'regeneration' is your choice.
But another devotion that 's 'desh bhakti' the devotion to motherland has become an issue of contention for so named liberals in the name rights to
individuals engaged in rabble rousing. True is the devotion of Baji Rout the boy
on the boat who raised the first defiance to British colonist without fearing
bullets landing on his chest. So also is Jayee Rajguru who led the first mutiny
against British colonist. It's not absurd now for all of us to look for Desh Bhakti
to build national characters, required most for making of citizens for the country
as well as the world; it's to be noted that both complement unlike some rogue states patronizing terrorism in the name patriotism and religion which turns to
chauvinism to despise.
It's true of our illustrious ex-president dr. Kalam  who as a person deep
religious and from devotion drew power of missiles for the safety of the
nation.
Bhakti (Devotion) needs to give Shakti (power) to make full of life as India
saw in its  Suvarna Yuga (Golden Period)  in the past.
So the column 'Bhakti Shakti' for your review ...
