I was really lost in the world of Kamandala Shari Sadhus' once or twice in Amarnath as a pilgrim . Þe bare foot sadhus used to walk on snow glaciers 2 to 3 kms from Panchatarani to Amarnath cave. Anyway I enjoyed reading as a inquisitive friend of those Baba's and you.
All on a sudden the use of kamandalu also is a great news Hrushi in the time of Corona pandemic.
I just read it and liked it because there is a good thing about what you imagine as a recluse. Seriously yes.

Some new words " ଭାବମୁର୍ତୀ " Tried to find it's translation in English but still not sure. Possible ones. Appearance,posture ideology, manifesto etc etc. The traditional Kamandalu's metamorphosis to sanitiser bottle has been the main story line. Nice of applying regression in social life.

Nirat satya every sentence. What was there in Kamandalu we don't know but all saints carried with them and mainly the water was utilised either for blessings or curse. Mythology says everytime it worked and hit the target as per the decision of the saint whether right or wrong.

Wish we should have seen those events, those kamandalus and those saints. How many saints have capacity to walk with same kamandalus and kathaus.
When Durbasha or vyasa were walking with those attires along with gerua cloth, those were scenes to be seen.
