A Waiting

Have been waiting since long,
Long for me at-least.
too long it's indeed to wait,
To wait for a glance
You reveal.
Reveal like a lotus around me
In and out pervading.

Will  you?
Will you open up for me
Once, only once
To see how your wonder is -
That never, never ceases. I dream.
In dream you hear me.
Within me I want,
Want you within -
So lone, so long is my waiting!

A deep & sustained longing for the 'Beloved...The beloved compared with a lotus that has layers & layers of petals...the all-pervasive nature of the revelation of the beauty of the presence...not yet a tangible presence...the deep aspiration to get a glimpse of the one whose 'wonder..never, never ceases'...An intense want(desire) because there is a 'want'(lack)...The central theme of the poem is wanting &
waiting. The desire to be with the 'Beloved' is the 'lone' desire and the 'waiting' too, too 'long'.
Genuine feelings truthfully recorded. I like the fervor and fabric of the poem although I am not sure if the 'Beloved' is a human entity or a divine one.

I'm dumb founded at your comments. Glad to know you liked the poem. I have many such poems in Odia. At this age I feel as if I'm a boson particle with Heisenberg's uncertainty and slowly turning to
illusive God's particle. Wonder is there any purpose in this creation. And I wait for that answer with hopes atleast.

cheers chhota bhaUni - finding your brother has gone idiotic mad! Mad world. I say to my ph.d students- we all are consciously in maya to solve these research problems. Let's do it in time ....:-)
