ASTHI-SITALA

This is published in Nabalipi, January 2010

Please click on scanned copy for better view.
This poem is included in my third volume 'Aparahna' (in press) talks about a life
that wants to evaluate itself as a 'babana bhuta'(a friendly ghost) that aspires to see the canvas of life being painted with the color he had in his life though life was with a lot of compromises.

SalerA DakAra

The "The calling of Sales" has appeared in
Literature section of Surjyaprabha on 24th
January 2010.

The poem deals with a culture that consumerism
has brought in today with instruments of SALES
and Credit cards.

Branded shops go for SALES atleast twice in an
year. And shopping malls always go with a call
'One plus One' as if they do a favour to buyers.
The culture of credit cards facilitate spending.
The poem deals with this issue.

I have finished a collection of 75 poems on
"Hyderabad Speaking" and this poem is one that
portrays a life style that creeps in among Hyderabadis.

Wish soon I will have time to make English version
of 'Hyderabad Speaking". Again sorry for those of
my blog visitors who can't read this poem.
