The "The calling of Sales" has appeared in
Literature section of Surjyaprabha on 24th
January 2010.

The poem deals with a culture that consumerism
has brought in today with instruments of SALES
and Credit cards.

Branded shops go for SALES atleast twice in an
year. And shopping malls always go with a call
'One plus One' as if they do a favour to buyers.
The culture of credit cards facilitate spending.
The poem deals with this issue.

I have finished a collection of 75 poems on
"Hyderabad Speaking" and this poem is one that
portrays a life style that creeps in among Hyderabadis.

Wish soon I will have time to make English version
of 'Hyderabad Speaking". Again sorry for those of
my blog visitors who can't read this poem.

Dear Rushi,
Your "Salera Dakarare" is a proper attack to modern marketing strategy and customers' foolishness. Earlier marketing was the response to customers' requirement, but nowadays it is nothing but the exploitation of customers' greed. Greed is always followed by many other vices waiting hand in hand to come and destroy our civilization.
So you have exposed it very nicely. Hope, it would be an eye-opener for such people who foolishly believe that 1 + 1 is possible in marketing.
Now, people will wait for your poems.
