||| MoKatha: Udana |||

13th May '20 on Nirvay Odia news paper MoKatha column on Udana, "Flight" talks of flying high for fame and fund, is natural for one as a human by nature finds life much fulfilling when these are available by shortcuts for now being the age of instant happenings so, it expects excellence in life could be any means when today a restless being wants to be flying Jonathan at the first flight itself; Richard Bach may find it baffling seeing what exactly excellence in life today means for..........
You may find the column amusing as well as puzzling on basic question of excellence in life ! Your comments are highly solicited. Sorry, I couldn't translate the same in English for lack of time.

While studying about leadership in 1992, first time I came across thin book of Jonathan Livingston Seagull. As you have rightly mentioned no body would have known when the bird must have landed. But the book truly depicts power of imagination.
Write Brothers have done immense service to mankind by their invention of aeroplane. Again, in 1981,I got first opportunity to fly between Ahmedabad and Mumbai. So scared and conscious ( scary feeling because I have height fobia) to have my first experience of flying. Surprising I saw a group of People in Lungi who were waiting to board the flight. I was perplexed but then onwards my perception that flight is a privilege of the rich vanished. Now a days,it is only an issue of affordability. Since from 19th May, flight operation will start for Prabashis'I thought keeping that in mind you have written this one. But as usual and rightly so, you have drawn your boundaries with the social space. No doubt reference to lockdown and Prabashi Odia is given in last part but honestly I enjoyed the narration of Palinki and Kolkata Babus home visit etc. Kolkata seems to have created a great impact on you as I find the place in most of your writings. May be geographical proximity or emotional connectivity. But I always salute that city.
Thanks for sharing.
Was a pleasure to go through.
God bless.
