||| AkhaDa |||

28th April '21 Nirvay Odia newspaper MoKatha on AkhaDa. AkhaAda in a place at the solitary end of a village where youngs make their evenings. It was there before. A small mud house built by villagers were for boys to practice open-air opera. But Akhada came in medieval times to upkeep dharma from the cruel mogul invaders who killed Hindus, terrorised, broken temples and tortured non-muslims with heavy taxation. Sadhus turned soldiers for guarding the Dharma. Now moderns tell them unkempt uncivilised forgettign the community was among the first freedom fighters. Now even many educated you may find among those Sadhus. They are given their due respect in sah-shnan in Ganga. The MoKatha goes with narratives of yesterday Akhada to medieval Akhada. Very informative article on Origin Of Akhada. How it was originated to save our culture and religion. Now this is in the brink of extinct. Technology has the change the course of direction. We don’t know where we are heading.

ସବୁଥରଭଳି ଏଥରର ମୋ କଥା ବି ମନୋଜ୍ଞ ହୋଇଛି । କ୍ରମେପି ମୋ କଥାର ଆଧୁନିକ ଅଧ୍ୟାୟ ଗୁଡିକ ଅଧିକ ଦାର୍ଶନିକ ହେବାରେ ଲାଗିଛି । ତେଣୁ ମୋ ଭଳି ଜଣେ ସାଧାରଣ ପାଠକ ପାଇଁ ଗହନ ଦାର୍ଶନିକ ସିଦ୍ଧାନ୍ତ ବୋଧଗମ୍ୟ ହେଉନାହିଁ । ତାଛଡା ଏଥର ଛାପାରେ ଅନେକ ତୃଟି ରହିଯାଇଛି । ହୃଷୀ ବାବୁ, ଆପଣ ମା ସରସ୍ବତୀକଂ ବରପୁତ୍ର । ତେଣୁ ଲେଖନୀକୁ ଆହୁରି ଶାଣିତ କରି ଆଗେଇ ଚାଲନ୍ତୁ । 🙏🙏

ଲେଖାଟି ଉପାଦେୟ ଅଟେ। ଗ୍ରାମୀଣ ସଂସ୍କୃତି ର ଆଖଡା ଘର ହେଉଛି ଏବେକାର କ୍ଲବ ହାଉସ୍। ଆମେମାନେ ପିଲାଦିନେ ଆଖଡା ଦେଖିଚୁ, ସେହି କଥା ମନେ ପଡିଗଲା। ଗୋପାଳ ଗାଁ ରେ ଏବେ ମଧ୍ଯ ଆଖଡା ଘର ଅଛି। ବୁନୁଭାଇ(ଡଲିଅପା ବର)ନୁନୁଭାଇ ସେଠାରେ ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷକ ଅଛନ୍ତି।💪💪

Beautiful edition today AKHADDA
Concluding sentence ta ati chamatkaar.
Akhadda has been a part of our socio cultural ethos and has been a source of bonding since time immemorial when modern entertainment facilities were non existent. Being an instrument of social change, powerful and relevant social messages were being disseminated through this Akhadda medium.
Even today, if you visit Khandagiri Jatra and view the audience at different pandals of different opera parties, you can feel the sentimental value of this medium.
One interesting observation. How come Akhadda is not included in the vegetarian list mentioned by you.
Coming to my preference, I have tremendous weakness for operas and post retirement in 2016,17 I have attended the night show at Khandagiri with Shovan. Body is not allowing to remain awake whole night to watch opera, but mind always wins.
Given the choice, my first preference for any effective entertainment is Opera.

ଆଖଡା ସମ୍ପର୍କରେ ବହୁତ ସୁନ୍ଦର ଆଲେଖ୍ୟ । ତମର ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଲେଖା ସାରଙ୍କୁ ପଢି ଶୁଣାଏ ।ଖୁବ୍ ଭଲ ଲାଗିଲା । ପ୍ରକୃତରେ ହିନ୍ଦୁଧର୍ମର ସଙ୍କଟ ସମୟରେ କେହି ନା କେହି ମହାମନିଷି ଆଗେଇ ଆସିଛନ୍ତି ରକ୍ଷା କବଚ ସାଜି । ସେ ଧର୍ମ ହେଉ ବା ରାଜ୍ୟ ହେଉ , ତାହାର ରକ୍ଷା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସମସ୍ତେ ସଚେତନ ହେବା ଜରୁରୀ । ମଗଧର ରକ୍ଷା ପାଇଁ ଚାଣକ୍ୟ ବିଦ୍ୟାଧ୍ୟୟନ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ଓହ୍ଲେଇ ଆସିଥିଲେ ରାଜନୀତିକୁ । ଆମ ଦୁହିଁଙ୍କର ଶ୍ରଦ୍ଧା ।ଆଶା ଭଲ ଥିବ । ସମୟ ଅତ୍ୟଧିକ ଖରାପ । ଆମେ ଭଲ ଅଛୁ ।
