STANDING ON THE EDGE OF COMPUTING

STANDING ON THE EDGE OF COMPUTING Hrushikesha Mohanty 5th June '21, 11am: Zoom Link at the end You are cordially Welcome to : ABSTRACT This (online) talk entitled 'Standing on the edge of computing' is not really ofcomputing but of its reflection where the physical world meets the cosmicworld and the world model of one is played on another to find out how one emulates the other or wonderfully both are the same. I will reflect upon the above using the paradigm of world modelling in computingand stanzas of Stuti Chintamani by Santha Kabi Bhima Bhoie, the saint poet and Adi Shankaracharya ! The talk will make an attempt to unveil the beautiful minds of saints and computing scientists who spin the worlds of concepts ...................... a personal note ......................... After the talk I felt gratifying at the Divine for making the audience so interested in the topic. A great saint poet Bhima Bhoie, an illiterate tribal blind man who lived for just 45 years left the world with indelible imprints in society as a reformer, poet, philosopher and an= humanist. Wish I can talk more on the saint in future. ...............................

I attended yesterday for a short while as I have an online class to teach yesterday. It’s esoteric but intellect provoking topic. Interestingly I was just watching a documentary about cosmic and the unknown beyond our galaxy. Your talk yesterday transports me deeper into the realm of it which perhaps science and spirituality gives meaning to the unknown.

I was at your talk yesterday and thank you so much for inviting me to it. Though the computing part went over my head, I could deeply relate to Adi Shankaracharyas lines in the Atma Bodha and the Stuti Chintamani was very beautiful too. Your deep reverance and connection with the expanded minds of these Seers also came through.

It was the first time too I was coming across such a talk merging Computer Science and Spirituality... Hopefully there will be more🙏
