Nahak as an institution had considerable social influence in the past. People lika Sutradhar and Bhagya dhar had something in them to offer. Historically their offerings had some value though in modern times their role may be questionable or debatable. All most all houses' foundation stone were laid on their advice. My house in village was constructed in 1958 and two storeyed building structure stood without use of cement. Till today the structure is intact. Whether so called Sutradhar like person's initial prescription had some role. Second, it needs to be researched whether Politicians have in their DNA some effects of Deha Kila mantra which Bhagyadhar was citing. Whatever may be the modern practice, no body can simply afford to overlook our age old traditional social structure where everyone had their roles.
