Wow sir, this is a tough one for me, as could be debatable for some. But I too believe, public policies are not easy to implement always due to lack of common convergence. As usual I envy the level of clarity you put in your words, and range of examples from bhakti to gana- niti🙀🙀, congratulations again , 🌸🙏
Read very interesting article on Kanamoda katha in Kanada Raijara. Now foreign nations are not digesting India s success of Vaccinations . Also Farmers Law. This couldn’t be implemented because of Canada’s support to Agitators. Canada has vested interest. With humour you have touched very important subject.
Gana Niti- Public Policy. Beautifully Picturised with two examples - Firm Laws in India and Covid policy in Canada. Sometimes these are bound to happen when mostly opposition based on mob psychology. As rightly mentioned, still some section has misconception about effectiveness of Covid Vaccine. You can't blame them. It pains when literate people oppose just for the sake of opposition. Even world's No 1 tennis player has reservation. So far as Firm Laws are concerned, not withstanding the declining contribution of Agriculture towards GDP, still Farming community's voice can not be ignored. As long as majority population will be engaged in agriculture, their voices have to be heard. Also sometimes policy makers have other compulsion to review it. Thanks for taking up a critical issue. To sum up, in democracy let there be debate for common good but professionalism must be maintained in public policy formulation and implementation
Balanced writing. Ganatantra and Ranatantra are two sides of a democratic coin. Peasants revolt has always won in history, even kings have also coneeded defeat: English King Richard II during 1381 Peasants Revolt. Ironically, this 1381 peasants revolt also happened after the Great Pleague! But repetitive gana andolana is a matter of worry and query as much for the govt as for the andolanakaries. I think somehow/anyhow we have mistaken and misunderstood the western epistemology and logic of rights, freedom and proests. As a sensitive writer, you have done your part by writing about it.
